Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure anchored NE of the area will maintain
return flow across the basin through early next week. Fresh to
strong NE to E winds will occur at night in the SW Gulf through
early Sun associated with a surface trough moving off the
Yucatan Peninsula. On Sun, the pressure gradient over the region
will diminish, thus resulting in mainly moderate to locally
fresh winds continuing through the middle of the week.
Otherwise, smoke from fires in southern Mexico will maintain
hazy skies generally within 90 nm of the eastern coast of Mexico
the next few days.

.SYNOPSIS...The tail of a cold front stalled early this morning 
just north of a surface trough that extends from 24N65W to SW 
Haiti. The stationary front that extends from 25N65W to 25N70W
to the central Bahamas near 23N75W will continue to weaken today 
and dissipate during the evening hours along with the surface 
trough. A new cold front will sink southward into the NE waters 
Sat afternoon and stall along 23N Sun evening before dissipating 
Mon evening. Seas to 10 ft associated with this front will affect 
the NE waters Sun through Mon. Otherwise, moderate to fresh NE 
winds will dominate the waters NE of the Bahamas.
