Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...The combination of a weak front and a rather 
vigorous mid and upper-level trough will continue to result in 
scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms over much of the 
central and eastern Gulf waters through Mon. This activity will 
likely be accompanied by strong gusty winds and frequent 
lightning. A high pressure ridge will build northeast of the 
region through Wed night, then shift east-southeast Thu through 
Fri night as a weak cold front approaches eastern Texas. Diurnal 
trough development over the Yucatan Peninsula will support 
pulses of fresh to locally strong winds in the SW Gulf Mon 
through Thu. Areas of haze from ongoing agricultural fires in 
Mexico could reduce visibilities in the western Gulf and the Bay 
of Campeche through early next week.

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure over the area will shift eastward and 
weaken through Wed night. Fresh south to southwest winds will 
prevail over the northern offshore through Mon ahead of an 
approaching cold front. The cold front will move into the 
northern waters on Mon night and continue southward through Tue 
while weakening. High pressure will build north of the region 
Wed  through Fri night. 

.OVERNIGHT...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S to SW 
15 to 20 kt N of 27N, except 20 to 25 kt N of 30N. Seas 3 to 4 
ft, except 4 to 6 ft N of 30N. Scattered showers and 
thunderstorms N of 27N. Isolated showers and thunderstorms S of 
27N. 
.MON...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and SW to W 10 to 15 kt
