Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A very vigorous cold front extending from near Cape Coral, Florida to the Yucatan Channel will exit the basin tonight with strong thunderstorms ahead of it. A tight pres gradient in the wake of the front over the northern and central Gulf will diminish through early Sat while a weak reinforcing boundary clips the NE Gulf behind the initial front. The cold front should extend from 31N74W to the central Bahamas Sat afternoon, from 31N71W to the SE Bahamas Sun afternoon, and becoming stationary near the same location Mon afternoon, and finally dissipating Tue into Wed. Numerous showers and scattered strong thunderstorms will accompany the front.
