Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure is centered over the south central
Gulf in the wake of a cold front that moved through the region
this morning. Expect fresh to strong southerly winds over the
western Gulf through Thu between the high pressure and a trough
over the southern Plains. These winds will diminish through Fri
as the high pressure shifts east, but increase again Sat ahead
of another front expected to move off the Texas coast late Sat
into early Sun. Fresh to strong northerly winds and building
seas will follow the front Sun, reaching near gale force off
Veracruz late Sun. Winds and seas will diminish across the Gulf
Mon as the front stalls and weakens from the Florida Keys to the
northwest Yucatan. 

.TONIGHT...NW to N winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. 
.THU...N to NE winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to SE to S in the late
morning and afternoon. Seas 4 ft until late afternoon, subsiding
to 2 ft or less. 
.THU NIGHT...SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.FRI...SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.FRI NIGHT...E to SE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 2 ft or less,
building to 3 ft after midnight. 
.SAT...SE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A weak stationary front extends from an
extratropical low at 31N78W to the NE Florida coast at 29N81W.
Ahead of the  front, a surface trough extends from 29N77W to NW
Bahamas and is  associated with scattered showers and
thunderstorms. While this  front should dissipate by Thu, a new
cold front will be reaching  the area tonight, pushing eastward
and extending from 28N65W to  27N75W on Fri morning. Strong NE
winds will develop north of the  front Thu and Fri before
weakening Sat and Sun.

.TONIGHT...S of 27N,W winds 10 to 15 kt. N of 27N,W winds 5 to
10 kt, shifting to N late in the night. Seas 3 ft in the evening,
subsiding to 2 ft or less. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. 
.THU...S of 27N,W winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to S to SW late in
the afternoon. N of 27N,E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or
less, building to 3 ft in the late morning and afternoon. 
.THU NIGHT...E to SE winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and E to SE 15 to
20 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 to 5 ft. 
.FRI...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SE 15 to 20 kt N
