Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...High pressure across the northern Gulf will shift east today ahead of a cold front moving off the Texas coast this evening. The front is forecast to reach a position from northern Florida to the central Bay of Campeche Sun evening, and extend from southern Florida to the N of the Yucatan Peninsula near 22N90W on Mon evening. Fresh to strong northerly winds and building seas will follow the front over the western Gulf on Sun. Winds are forecast to reach minimal gale force across the west-central Gulf by Sun afternoon, and across the SW Gulf by Sun night. Then, winds and seas will gradually diminish through early next week as the front shifts southeast of the area. .TODAY...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt. High pressure will build off the U.S. east coast in the wake of the low through Sun, then continue E ahead of the next cold front expected to move off the NE Florida coast by Sun night. A low pressure is forecast to develop along the frontal boundary near 30N77W by Mon night.
