Strong high pressure surrounding the low is supporting strong to near gale-force N to NE winds over the SW Gulf of Mexico. This area of winds will shift ENE across the Gulf of Mexico and diminish through Tue night as the low shifts E and weakens and the front exits to the SE of the Gulf.
