Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from South Florida near 25N80.5W, to 24N82.5W. The front becomes stationary and it continues from 24N82.5W to 22.5N90W, and to a 1015 mb low pressure center that is near 20.5N91.5W. The front continues to Campeche Mexico. High pressure is present to the northwest and north of the frontal bouneary. The gradient between the front and high pressure across Texas and eastern Mexico, will support strong to near gale-force northwest to north winds behind the stationary front and to the west of 94W through early Monday evening, and then the wind speeds will diminish to strong through Tuesday night. Strong NE to E winds will cover just about the entire Gulf of Mexico from Monday through Tuesday. The cold front will reach from 26N81W to 25N86W and stationary to 22N95W and to 18N93W by early this evening, and continue to push southward through Tuesday, as it moves to NW Cuba, becoming stationary on Wednesday. .THIS AFTERNOON...NE winds 10 to 15 kt. The front will begin to move slowly southeastward early on Monday, reaching from near 31N65W to the Straits of Florida on Tuesday morning, from near 27N65W to northwest Cuba by early on Tuesday, from near 26N65W to central Cuba on Wednesday, and from near 25N65W to east central Cuba on Thursday, while weakening.
