Numerous showers and thunderstorms are along and ahead of the front. The low pressure system will strengthen as it lifts north-northeast through Fri night, with the cold front quickly moving east of the Gulf tonight. Strong to gale force southerly winds will develop ahead of the front today, followed by westerly gale force winds behind the front, with very large seas expected to build over the east-central waters tonight and Fri. Scattered showers are expected behind the front.
