Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A strong cold front with widespread thunderstorm
activity will race across the Gulf waters tonight through early
Fri. Strong to near gale force S winds will develop over the SE
waters tonight ahead of the front. Strong to near gale force W
to NW winds behind the front will reach gale force Thu night
with seas building to near 20 ft. Gale conditions are expected
across the N Gulf through Fri morning. A post-frontal surface
high pressure will set up over the central gulf on Sat morning,
and move to the NE waters on Sun.

.TODAY...SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less, building to
3 to 4 ft in the afternoon. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms.
.TONIGHT...SE to S winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft,building to
5 to 7 ft late. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. 
.THU...SW winds 20 to 30 kt. Seas 7 to 10 ft in N to NE swell.
Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. 
.THU NIGHT...W winds 25 to 35 kt. Seas 11 to 16 ft in N swell.
Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. 
.FRI...W winds 25 to 35 kt. Seas 15 to 20 ft in N swell.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...The tail of a weakening cold front across the Turks
and Caicos and the southern Bahamas will dissipate today as it
gradually drift NW today. Strong southerly flow will develop 
north of the Bahamas on Thu morning, increasing to minimal gale 
force Thu night on both sides of a strong cold front moving off 
Florida. The front will reach from 30N75W to the central Bahamas
 and central Cuba on Fri morning, and from 30N68W to the
Windward  Passage on Sat morning. Strong to near gale force
winds are expected across the Straits of Florida, the northern
and the central Bahamas Thu and Fri. Winds and seas will start
to subside  Sat night through Sun night.

3 ft in the late morning and afternoon.
