Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Fresh to strong southerly return flow will precede a
cold front moving off the Texas coast Thu morning. The front
will reach from the Mississippi Delta to Tamiahua, Mexico on Thu
night, from the Florida Big Bend to the Yucatan Peninsula on Fri
morning and move E of area before sunrise on Sat. Strong to near
gale force northerly flow west of the front will increase to
gale force on Thu night over the northwest and west-central gulf
waters. Near gale force southerly flow expected east of the
front Thu night into Fri. Strong to near gale force winds will
cover the Bay of Campeche on Fri. The pressure gradient will
relax on Sat resulting in moderate to fresh west winds with seas
subsiding to less than 8 ft Sat night.

.THU...SE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. 
.THU NIGHT...SE to S winds 20 to 30 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft.

late in the afternoon. Seas 6 to 8 ft. Scattered showers and
isolated thunderstorms.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A stationary front extends from 23N65W to the
Windward Passage. The boundary will begin to drift back north on
Thu and extend east to west along 25N on Fri. Fresh to strong
winds will develop along this boundary as strong high pressure
moves east across the northern waters ahead of the next cold 
front to enter the NW waters on Fri night. A strong pressure
gradient between the front and the high pressure will support
strong to near gale southerly return flow north of the Bahamas
on Thu night and Fri. The front is expected to reach from 30N67W
to the central Bahamas on Sun evening and from 30N63W to the
southern Bahamas on Mon night.
