Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from the Florida Keys to 26N90W where it becomes a warm front to a weak 1015 mb low over the NW Gulf near 26N95W. A stationary front then trails from the low to 19N96W. The low pressure will lift N toward the coast of Texas through Wed night, then east-northeastward across the N central waters through Thu night and the NE Gulf by Fri, dragging a new cold front across the SW Gulf. A tight pressure gradient between the low and strong high pressure over the SE CONUS is supporting fresh to strong winds N of the low and warm front, and also west of the stationary front over the western Gulf. Winds are expected to slightly diminish late today through early Tue. Then, these winds are forecasted to increase again late Tue or Wed as the low pressure tracks northeastward toward the NE Gulf and northern Florida by Fri. .TODAY...E winds 15 to 20 kt.
