Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...Major Hurricane Michael near 29.4N 86.0W 928 mb at 11 AM EDT moving NNE at 12 kt. Maximum sustained winds are 125 kt with gusts to 150 kt. Michael is expected to make landfall as a Category 4 hurricane along the central panhandle of Florida this afternoon, then accelerate off to the NE tonight. Conditions will gradually improve in the NE Gulf Thu through Fri as Michael moves quickly towards the Cape Hatteras and Tidewater areas.
