Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Michael near 28.3N 86.5W 943 mb at 5 AM
EDT moving N at 11 kt. Maximum sustained winds are 120 kt with
gusts to 145 kt. Michael is expected to make landfall as a
Category 4 hurricane along the coast of the central panhandle of
Florida late this afternoon, then move inland overnight.
Conditions will gradually improve in the NE Gulf Thu through Fri
as Michael accelerates to the NE. A cold front will push into
the NW Gulf behind the exiting Michael Wed night and Thu and
reach from the Florida Panhandle to west-central Gulf by early
Sat.

.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Michael in the Gulf of Mexico will move
inland and weaken over the Florida Panhandle this afternoon, 
then veer NE and accelerate parallel to the SE U.S. coast Thu
and Fri. Fresh to SE winds in the waters N of the Bahamas today
will gradually veer to the S-SW and strengthen through Thu night
as Michael moves into the Carolinas.

.TODAY...SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SE to S 15 to 20 kt N
of 27N. Seas 3 to 4 ft S of 27N, and 4 to 9 ft N of 27N.
