Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A northwest to southeast orientated surface ridge is
setting up from central Louisiana to Florida Bay with a surface
high forecast to develop along the ridge near 27N92W late Sat.
The surface high will shift slightly south on Sun with the ridge
extending southeast to the Yucatan Basin. A weak surface
trough,extending southwest from the remnants of tropical cyclone
Florence, will pass slowly east across the north-central gulf
waters through early next week.

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Florence remains inland north of
area. A ridge will meander from 31N69W to southeast Florida
through  Sun, then shift north to a position from 31N74W to
central Florida by the middle of next week.

20 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 to 4 ft.
