Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A broad trough of low pressure in the western Gulf
will drift westward into southern Texas on Fri. Fresh easterly
winds and widespread showers are expected east of the trough
axis. This system may become a tropical depression prior to
reaching the Texas coast.

.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Florence 956 mb is centered north of the 
area near 34.0N 76.8W at 11 PM EDT, moving NW at 5 kt. Maximum 
sustained winds are 80 kt with gusts to 105 kt. Large swell from 
Florence will continue to affect the waters north of the Bahamas 
through Fri. Large swell is also expected E of 70W through Fri.

.OVERNIGHT...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less S of
27N, and 5 to 7 ft N of 27N. Scattered showers. 
.FRI...E to SE winds 5 kt S of 27N, and S to SW 10 to 15 kt N of
