Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Weak ridging from the Carolinas to the Texas coast
will shift N over the SE United States. Gentle to moderate E to
SE winds and modest seas will prevail through the middle of next
week. The exception will be fresh winds pulsing off west of the
Yucatan peninsula, mainly during the late evening.  

.TONIGHT...S to SW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.SUN...S to SW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered
showers and isolated thunderstorms.

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Florence near 24.6N 54.7W 989 mb at
5 PM EDT moving W at 4 kt. Maximum sustained winds 60 kt gusts
75  kt. Florence will strengthen to a hurricane near 24.6N 55.4W
Sun  morning, move to 24.7N 56.6W Sun afternoon, 25.0N 58.3W Mon
 morning, 25.4N 60.5W Mon afternoon, and 26.9N 66.4W Tue
afternoon. Florence will change little in intensity as it moves
over the north-central offshores near 29.5N 72.5W Wed afternoon,
and  continue to 32.5N 77.0W Thu. Otherwise, a weak pressure
pattern across the SW N Atlc will maintain gentle to moderate 
mainly easterly winds across the area through Mon.
