Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Weak ridging from the Carolinas to the Texas coast
will shift N over the SE United States. Gentle to moderate E to
SE winds and modest seas will prevail through the middle of next
week. The exception will be fresh winds pulsing off west of the
Yucatan peninsula, mainly during the late evening.

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Florence near 24.5N 54.3W 995 mb at 
11 AM EDT moving W at 6 kt. Maximum sustained winds 55 kt gusts 
65 kt. Florence will move to 24.6N 55.0W this evening,
strengthen to a hurricane near 24.6N 56.1W Sun morning, 24.8N
57.5W Sun  evening, 25.1N 59.3W Mon morning, and 26.3N 64.9W Tue
morning.  Florence will change little in intensity as it moves
over the north-central offshores near 28.5N 71.5W early Wed, and
continue to 31.5N 77.0W Thu. Otherwise, a weak pressure pattern
across  the SW N Atlc will maintain gentle to moderate mainly
easterly  winds across the area through Mon.
