Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Weak ridging will build from the Carolinas to the
coast of Texas in the wake of Gordon, supporting gentle to
moderate east to southeast winds and modest seas into early next
week. The exception will be fresh winds pulsing off the west of
coast of the Yucatan peninsula, mainly during the late evening,
due to a daily trough that sets up over the southwest Gulf.  

.TONIGHT...NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less, building
to 3 ft after midnight. Scattered showers. 
.THU...NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 ft until late afternoon,
subsiding to 2 ft or less.

showers.

.SYNOPSIS...A weak pressure pattern will maintain gentle to 
moderate easterly winds across the area through Sun night. 
Easterly swell from Hurricane Florence will move into the open 
waters east of the Bahamas late Wed through Sun. Hurricane 
Florence near 22.7N 46.6W 953 mb at 5 PM EDT moving NW at 11 kt.
 Maximum sustained winds 115 kt gusts 140 kt. Florence will move
to 23.5N 48.1W Thu morning, 24.5N 49.7W Thu afternoon, 25.2N
51.3W  Fri morning, 25.5N 52.9W Fri afternoon, and 26.0N 55.3W
Sat  afternoon. Florence will change little in intensity as it
moves to 27.0N 57.4W Sun afternoon, and continues to 29.0N 60.0W
Mon.
