Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Tropical Storm Gordon near 29.4N 87.8W 1000 mb at
5 PM EDT moving NW at 13 kt. Maximum sustained winds 60 kt gusts
75 kt. Some additional strengthening is still possible, and
Gordon could become a hurricane before landfall occurs along the
north- central Gulf Coast this evening. Rapid weakening is then
forecast after Gordon moves inland. Winds and seas will diminish
across the eastern and north central Gulf in the wake of Gordon.
