Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A surface trough will develop along the Yucatan
Peninsula during the late afternoons, then drift westward across
the southwest Gulf waters during the overnight hours accompanied
by a fresh east to southeast wind shift, with the trough
dissipating along 96W during the late mornings. Otherwise, a
ridge will dominate the Gulf waters accompanied by a gentle to
moderate anticyclonic flow. Expect moderate to fresh winds
across the northwest Gulf Sun evening into Mon. The ridge is
forecasted to shift south and extend across the central waters
during the middle of next week.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure of 1022 mb centered near 30N70W
extends a ridge across the forecast waters while a trough
stretches from 27N65W to 21N67W. Under this patttern, expect a 
gentle to moderate anticylonic wind flow N of 23N, and mainly 
moderate to fresh easterly winds S of 23N, except becoming 
locally strong along the north coast of Hispaniola during the 
late afternoon into evening hours. The ridge will persist over 
the next several days while the trough will drift W or WNW
across the forecast waters reaching the central Bahamas on Mon,
and the  NW Bahamas on Tue.
