A tight pressure gradient between the low pressure and high pressure over the eastern gulf will maintain fresh to strong southeast winds across the waters W of 90W through early this afternoon before diminishing to fresh winds through Wed night and moderate winds Thu through Sat night. A surface trough will develop along the Yucatan Peninsula during the late afternoons, then move westward across the southwestern gulf during the overnight hours accompanied by fresh east to southeast winds.
