The pressure gradient will tighten today and tonight as a tropical wave moves across the Yucatan Peninsula and into the SW Gulf, and then slowly WNW across the western Gulf Thu and Fri. A surface trough will develop along the Yucatan Peninsula late each afternoon, and drift westward across the southwest Gulf waters during the overnight hours, accompanied by a strong east to southeast wind shift with the trough dissipating along 96W during the late mornings. .THIS AFTERNOON...E winds 5 to 10 kt.
