Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A ridge extends from a 1018 mb high center just northwest of the NW coast of Cuba to another 1018 mb high center near 25N91W, and continues northwestward to the central Texas coast. It is maintaining relatively tranquil conditions throughout the gulf. A weak cold front extending from northern Florida to inland southeastern Louisiana will become stationary across the NE Gulf and northern Florida late tonight, then slowly dissipate through Thu. A trough will form over the western Yucatan Peninsula each evening and move westward across the SW Gulf during the overnight hours as weak high pressure remains in place. Fresh to strong northeast to east winds will accompany the trough beginning Thu.
