Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...At 11 AM EST, newly formed Subtropical Storm Alberto
was centered near 19.7N 86.8W with a surface pressure of 1005 mb
and maximum sustained wind speeds of 35 kt gusting to 45 kt.
Alberto is moving NNE at 5 kt. The storm will intensify while
moving northward, reaching 22.0N 86.2W Sat morning with wind
speeds of 40 kt gusting to 50 kt, 26.7N 86.1W Sun morning with
wind speeds of 50 kt gusting to 60 kt, 29.3N 87.9W Mon morning
with wind speeds of 55 kt gusting to 65 kt, then inland near
31.0N 89.1W on Tuesday morning.

.THIS AFTERNOON...E to SE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft.
Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms.

.SYNOPSIS...Moderate to fresh tradewinds are expected S of 27N
through Mon, pulsing to fresh to strong offshore of northern 
Hispaniola during the afternoon through evening hours each day.
SE to S winds will increase to fresh to locally strong W of 77W
Sat night through Sun night as the pressure gradient tightens
between Subtropical Storm Alberto in the Gulf of Mexico and high
pressure over the area. Those conditions should improve by Tue 
as the pres gradient slackens.
