Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A ridge will persist over the western Gulf through
at least Tue while a surface trough will drift westward across
the eastern Gulf. A thermal trough will develop during the
evening hours in the Yucatan Peninsula, then move west across
the southwest waters during the overnight hours, and dissipate
by late each morning. An area of low pressure is forecast to
develop in the NW Caribbean Sea on Thursday. Easterly winds are
expected to gradually increase across the southeast Gulf waters
and the Straits of Florida late Thu into Fri.

.SYNOPSIS...An east to west ridge will meander across the 
northern waters through the middle of the week. The ridge will 
support fresh to locally strong E-SE winds mainly S of 25N-26N, 
including the Old Bahama Channel, and the approaches to the 
Windward Passage.

7 ft N of 27N.
