Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A ridge extending from the Atlantic Ocean into the Gulf waters will persist across the region through at least Monday. A thermal trough will develop during the evening hours in the Yucatan Peninsula, then move west across the southwest waters during the overnight hours, and dissipate by late each morning. A surface trough, currently extending from SW Florida to western Cuba, will drift WNW across the eastern Gulf through Monday. An area of low pressure is forecast to develop in the NW Caribbean Sea on Thursday.
