Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...High pressure over the NW gulf extends a ridge southeastward to the Straits of Florida. This high will track northeastward and inland today, then move east off the Georgia coast on Mon with the ridge extending west-southwest across the northern gulf waters through Thu. A weak surface trough will move off the Florida W coast tonight and across the eastern gulf Mon. Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida .SYNOPSIS...A weak cold front extends from 31N68W southwest to low pressure near 29N71W 1016 mb, and continues southwest to 23N77W and becomes a weakening stationary front to central Cuba. The cold front will move slowly SE and reach from near Bermuda to the central Bahamas tonight. Active weather will shift eastward along front through tonight. A cold front just northwest of the area will quickly move across the NW waters through this afternoon, and across the north-central waters tonight and Mon before it merges with the weak front from near 28N65W to west-central Cuba Mon night. It will then become stationary from near 27N65W to west-central Cuba by early Wed. Strong high pressure will slide eastward near 31N Mon night through early Thu, resulting in a tight pressure gradient N of the front that will bring fresh to strong NE to E winds to much of the central and SW waters.
