Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...An old frontal boundary extending from Straits of Florida southwest across the Yucatan Channel to the NW Gulf of Honduras will drift eastward through today with active weather along and east of the boundary. A reinforcing cold front from near Naples Florida to Mexican coast near Tampico will move SE of the area today and merge with old front. A weak surface high will develop over the NW gulf today with a ridge extending southeastward to the Straits of Florida. High pressure over the northwest Gulf will shift northeastward and inland on Sun, then shift eastward off the Georgia coast on Mon with the ridge then extending west- southwest across the northern gulf waters through Wed. .THIS AFTERNOON...N winds 10 to 15 kt. The front will extend from near Bermuda to the central Bahamas by Sun night. Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms along and east of the front will shift eastward through Sun night. A cold front will enter the NW waters Sun, move quickly eastward and merge with the weak front along a position from near 28N65W to west-central Cuba Mon night, then become stationary from near 27N65W to west-central Cuba by early Wed.
