Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from Tampa Bay southwestward to near 26N90W, where it becomes stationary to 25N96W and to inland Mexico at 21N97W. The front will weaken across the southern gulf waters this afternoon, and then gradually dissipate tonight into Fri. A second cold front will enter the far northwest waters late Fri night, stall from southwest Florida to Veracruz Mexico on Sun, with remnants of the front lifting rapidly northeast on Sun night and Mon as a third cold front reaches the northern coastal waters. A thermal trough will develop over the Yucatan Peninsula during the afternoons through the period, drift westward across the eastern Bay of Campeche during the overnight hours, and dissipate over the southwest gulf waters by late each morning. .THIS AFTERNOON...NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Fresh to locally strong southerly flow will develop north of the ridge on Sat ahead of a second cold front expected to move across the northwest waters on Sat night.
