Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...High pres ridging extending from the Atlantic westward to across the northern gulf will begin to weaken and slide eastward on Mon night in response to a cold front that will move across Texas. This cold front will reach the Texas coast late Tue night, and move across the NW gulf during Wed morning, reach from N-central Florida to near 25N90W and to near Veracruz Mexico by Wed evening, then weaken across the southern gulf waters on Thu and dissipate Thu night. Fresh to strong NE winds will follow in behind the front becoming mainly moderate to fresh NE to E winds on Thu and Thu night as high pres ridging over the northern gulf slides eastward. Return southerly flow of SE to S moderate to fresh winds develop over the western gulf from late Thu night through Fri night as the ridging continues to shift eastward. A thermal trough will develop over the Yucatan Peninsula during the afternoons, drift west across the eastern Bay of Campeche during the overnight hours, and dissipate over the SW gulf by late each morning through Fri followed by fresh to strong E to SE winds Mon and Tue. .TONIGHT...NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt. Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida .SYNOPSIS...A surface trough along 80W N of 27N will lift northward tonight and dissipate. A surface trough just southeast of the area will move across the eastern waters tonight through early Mon, and reach the SE Bahamas Mon night before becoming diffuse. Another trough will move across the eastern waters Mon night through Tue night, and across the SE Bahamas Wed and Wed night while weakening. These troughs may be accompanied by scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. A high pres ridge extending from near Bermuda to Cape Canaveral Florida will change little through Wed, then retreat eastward allowing for a cold front to enter the far northwest waters on Wed evening. The front will extend from near 31N72W to 25N71W to NW Cuba Thu afternoon, from near Bermuda to east-central Cuba Thu night and weaken over the eastern waters on Fri. Strong N to NE winds will follow in behind the front, along with building seas to around 10 ft.
