Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front crossing the NW Gulf will move SE
across the entire basin today, then the Straits of Florida this
evening. Brief gale force winds are expected behind the front
over the far W Gulf today, and in the SW Gulf this afternoon
until around midnight. Strong northerly winds elsewhere in the
wake of the front will diminish from the NW through tonight. A
ridge will extend from NE Texas to the Straits of Florida on
Tue, then high pres will become centered over the NE Gulf Thu
through Fri night.  

.TODAY...W to NW winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft. Scattered
showers and isolated thunderstorms. 
.TONIGHT...N winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 6 to 9 ft. 
.TUE...N to NE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft.

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front entering the waters off NE Florida this
 afternoon will be preceded and followed by near gale to gale
force winds N of 28N through Tue morning. The front will reach
from  30N65W to E Cuba Tue, stalling from 26N65W to E Cuba
through Tue  night. A second cold front will cross waters N of
26N Wed night  and Thu, merging with the first front on Thu.
High pres will build from the NW behind the second front.

.TODAY...N of 28N, SW to W winds 15 to 20 kt, becoming W to NW 30
to 40 kt in the afternoon. Elsewhere, SW to W winds 15 to 20 kt,
becoming NW 20 to 30 kt in the afternoon. Seas 4 to 7 ft, building
to 7 to 12 ft N of 28N in the afternoon. Scattered showers and 
isolated thunderstorms.
.TONIGHT...NW winds 20 to 25 kt S of 28N, and NW 25 to 35 kt N of
28N. S of 28N, seas 5 to 7 ft. N of 28N, seas 7 to 11 ft.
.TUE...S of 27N, N winds 15 to 20 kt, becoming N to NE 5 to 10 kt
late in the afternoon. N of 27N, NW to N winds 20 to 25 kt,
diminishing to 10 to 15 kt in the afternoon. Seas 6 to 8 ft in N
swell.
