Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...A ridge is building SE across the Gulf waters in the wake of a cold front currently moving across the NW Caribbean. Strong to near gale force winds are expected over the SW Gulf near Veracruz, Mexico today. Then, winds and seas are forecast to diminish from W to E across the Gulf region this evening and tonight. The ridge will shift E on Wed and Thu, allowing SE return flow to set up over the entire basing by Thu afternoon.
