Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A strong high pressure of 1040 mb centered E of the
mid-Atlantic states extends a ridge across much of the Gulf
waters producing strong to minimal gale force across the Straits
of Florida, and the far SE Gulf. This system will maintain
strong winds east of 90W today, with strong to near gale force
winds across the Straits of Florida. A low pres will reach SE
Louisiana by this evening, with the associated cold front
extending over the NW Gulf. The low pres is expected to quickly
move across the NE Gulf on Sun, pushing the cold front across
the eastern Gulf waters through early on Mon. Gale conditions
and high seas are expected across the SW Gulf behind the front
on Mon, and Mon night.

.TONIGHT...E to SE winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft. 
.SUN...SE to S winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft,subsiding to

thunderstorms.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A weakening stationary front extending from 23N65W 
to central Cuba near 22N80W will begin to move slowly S while
dissipating near 20N by this evening. Strong to minimal gale
force winds are expected N of the front to about 25N and E of 
the Bahamas to 65W today. A deepening surface low moving across
Florida into the Atlc will drag a cold front across the NW 
waters Sun night and Mon, with the front reaching from 31N74W 
across the NW Bahamas to the Straits of Florida on Mon evening, 
and from 31N70W to central Cuba by Tue morning. 

.TODAY...E winds 20 to 30 kt S of 27N, and E to SE 20 to 25 kt N
of 27N. Seas 7 to 10 ft in N to NE swell.
