Southeast Gulf of Mexico .SYNOPSIS...Strong high pres from the Ohio Valley to Cuba will produce fresh to strong NE winds across the Straits of Florida and SE Gulf through this afternoon. The high will shift eastward into the western Atlantic tonight and Monday allowing for fresh to strong return flow to set up across the central Gulf from early on Sunday through early on Monday evening. Low pres and its associated cold front will move southeastward over the NW and N central Gulf on Monday, then move southeastward over the central Gulf Monday night through Tuesday as the system weakens. Conditions across the region will improve Mon through Tue night as the high shifts eastward and weakens. A N to S oriented trough will set up between the Bahamas and Florida waters Wed, and shift to the far NW waters early on Thursday. The trough is expected to move inland NE Florida and SE Georgia during Thu.
