Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extending from Apalachicola to 27N92W
to inland Mexico at 24N97W will reach from near Cedar Key
Florida to 26N92W to 20N96W early this evening, then become
stationary from near Tampa to 26N92W to the SW Gulf and the Bay
of Campeche on Saturday. The front will then lift northward as a
warm front through Sunday night. Gale force winds are expected
along the coast of Mexico near Tampico and Veracruz today and
tonight. High pres will settle in over the area Sunday evening
through Monday. The high pres will move eastward to the eastern
gulf waters by late Tuesday as a weak cold front moves across
the NW and N central waters.  

.TODAY...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to NE to E late in
the afternoon. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.TONIGHT...NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.SAT...NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A frontal trough extending from 23N65W SW to across 
the SE Bahamas and to E central Cuba will dissipate by early
Saturday. A weak cold front will move off the NE Florida coast 
late this afternoon, reach from Bermuda to central Florida
Saturday, then stall and slowly dissipate along 25N through
early next week as high pres builds eastward across the area.
Winds  will become strong from the E over the SW portion and
entrance to the Windward Passage beginning late Saturday night
and through  early on Monday, except continuing as strong winds
at the  entrance to the Windward Passage through Tuesday night.

.TODAY...E winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SW 10 to 15 kt N of
27N. Seas 3 ft in the morning, subsiding to 2 ft or less. 
.TONIGHT...SW to W winds 10 to 15 kt, shifting to N in the late
evening and overnight. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.SAT...NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and N to NE 10 to
15 kt N of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less. 
.SAT NIGHT...NE to E winds 15 to 20 kt S of 27N, and NE to E
10 to 15 kt N of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less, building to 3 to 4 ft in
the late evening and overnight.
