Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A thermal trough will develop each evening over the
NW Yucatan Peninsula, move WNW cross the SW Gulf overnight And
dissipate over the SW Gulf waters by late each morning. Weak
high pressure will remain over the area through Tuesday night.  

.TODAY...NE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Isolated 
showers and thunderstorms. 
.TONIGHT...NE to E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Isolated 
showers and thunderstorms. 
.SAT...NE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.  Isolated 
showers and thunderstorms. 
.SAT NIGHT...E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 to 3 ft. Isolated 
showers and thunderstorms.

.SYNOPSIS...Major Hurricane Maria is centered at 21.6N 70.6W
959  mb at 5 AM EDT moving NW or 315 degrees at 6 kt. Maximum
sustained winds are 110 kt gusts to 135 kt. Maria is forecast to
weaken  some as it reaches near 22.6N 71.1W early this
afternoon, then to  near 24.2N 71.7W late tonight, to near 25.9N
72.2W early Saturday  afternoon with maximum sustained winds
100 kt gusts to 120 kt.  Maria is forecast to continue to weaken
as it reaches near 27.4N  72.3W late Saturday night, with
maximum sustained winds 95 kt  gusts to 115 kt, to near 29.5W
72.0W late Sunday night with  maximum sustained winds 85 kt
gusts to 105 kt, to near 31.5N 71.0W late Monday night with
maximum sustained winds 75 kt gusts to 90  kt and to well N of
the area by late on Tuesday. In the wake of  Maria, a trough
will extend from the far N central waters SW to  near the SE
Bahamas as central Atlantic high pressure builds  southwestward
to the far E and SE forecast waters. 

.TODAY...NE winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and NE 10 to 15 kt N of
27N. Seas 6 to 9 ft in NE to E swell.  Scattered showers and
isolated thunderstorms. 
.TONIGHT...NE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and NE 15 to 20 kt N of
27N. Seas 7 to 10 ft in NE to E swell. Scattered showers and
isolated thunderstorms. 
.SAT...N to NE winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and NE 15 to 20 kt N of
27N. Seas 7 to 10 ft in NE to E swell. Scattered showers and
isolated thunderstorms.
