Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

Surface ridging prevails across the basin supporting gentle to
moderate return flow. Return flow will increase to fresh to
locally strong Mon night ahead of the next strong cold front
forecast to emerge off the coast of Texas Wed night. The front
will reach from Louisiana to the Bay of Campeche Thu, and from
the Florida panhandle to the Yucatan peninsula Fri. 

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

Moderate to fresh northerly winds prevail west of a dissipating
stationary front that extends from the Windward Passage to
northern Costa Rica. The front will dissipate today. Winds over
the Caribbean waters will start to strengthen Tue as strong high
pressure builds N of the area.  

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

A stationary front extending from 31N60W to the Windward Passage
will weaken to surface trough this afternoon.  Strong high
pressure will build in the wake of the front supporting fresh to
strong winds this evening through the week. A cold front will
push south of 30N on Tue night and dissipate near Puerto Rico
Fri night. Another cold front is forecast to move off the coast
of NE Florida on Sat.
