Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

High pressure extending from the NW Atlc across the N FL
Peninsula to the N central Gulf will shift NE today, as the next
cold front moves into the NW Gulf. This weak front will lift
back N of the area Sun. Another cold front will move into the
Gulf Sun night, and reach from the Florida Panhandle to Bay of
Campeche Mon morning. Strong N winds will spreading southward
behind the front and produce gale-force winds over portions of
the western and southwestern Gulf Mon through early Mon evening
across the Mexican waters from Tampico to Veracruz.  

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

Strong NE winds will pulse nightly through Sun along the
Colombian coast. An old frontal boundary extends from near
23N60W to 24N70W and will weaken today. Weak high pressure will
dominate the basin Sun through Wed to produce below normal winds
and seas. A weakening cold front will move slowly SE across the
Yucatan Channel and western Cuba Thu through Fri.  

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

A stationary front extends from the central Atlc to 23N60W to
near 24N70W. Active weather will continue today along  and south
of the front to the coastal waters of Hispaniola and Puerto Rico
while the front weakens and drifts northward. A high  pressure
ridge will dominate waters north of this front, bringing  fresh
to strong NE to E winds across NE waters through Sat night. The
ridge will then weaken considerably across the area Sun  through
Wed. A cold front will move off the FL coast Mon night,  with
strong SW winds ahead of the front, mainly N of 28N.
