Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

Tropical Storm Eta near 24.6N 80.5W 993 mb at 10 PM EST moving
NW at 12 kt. Maximum sustained winds 55 kt gusts 65 kt. Eta will
move to 24.9N 82.6W Mon morning, 24.2N 84.3W Mon evening,
strengthen to a hurricane near 23.6N 85.1W Tue morning, 24.2N
85.1W Tue evening, 25.5N 84.9W Wed morning, and weaken to a
tropical storm near 26.6N 84.6W Wed evening. Eta will change
little in intensity as it moves to near 28.2N 83.6W late Thu. A
cold front will move into the NW Gulf Wed and become stationary
over the northern Gulf through Fri.  

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

Tropical Storm Eta near 24.6N 80.5W 993 mb at 10 PM EST moving
NW at 12 kt. Maximum sustained winds 55 kt gusts 65 kt. Eta will
move to 24.9N 82.6W Mon morning, 24.2N 84.3W Mon evening,
strengthen to a hurricane near 23.6N 85.1W Tue morning, 24.2N
85.1W Tue evening, 25.5N 84.9W Wed morning, and weaken to a
tropical storm near 26.6N 84.6W Wed evening. Eta will change
little in intensity as it moves to near 28.2N 83.6W late Thu.
Marine conditions will slowly improve through Tue. A tropical
wave, currently just east of the Windward Islands, will reach
the central Caribbean in a few days with the possibility for low
pressure to develop from it. 

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

Tropical Storm Eta near 24.6N 80.5W 993 mb at 10 PM  EST moving
NW at 12 kt. Maximum sustained winds 55 kt gusts 65 kt. Eta will
move to 24.9N 82.6W Mon morning, 24.2N 84.3W Mon  evening,
strengthen to a hurricane near 23.6N 85.1W Tue morning,  24.2N
85.1W Tue evening, 25.5N 84.9W Wed morning, and weaken to a 
tropical storm near 26.6N 84.6W Wed evening. Eta will change 
little in intensity as it moves to near 28.2N 83.6W late Thu. 
Tropical storm conditions will continue between Cuba and the 
Bahamas through early Mon. Large seas are expected in the
western  Atlantic through Tue before gradually subsiding through
late Thu  night.
