Moderate to fresh easterly winds will persist over the eastern Gulf through Sat. A weak cold front will move into the NW Gulf Sat morning, reach from central Florida to southern Texas Sat night, then stall and dissipate on Sun. Gentle to moderate return flow will establish across the basin on Mon. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Weak low pressure has formed just south of Grand Cayman associated with a broader low pressure trough over the northwest Caribbean. This features is producing disorganized thunderstorms over much of the west and northwest Caribbean. This low may strengthen through Sat when it should reach northward into central or western Cuba, and there is a low chance of tropical formation during this time. Regardless of development, heavy rain and gusty winds could impact the Cayman Islands, Cuba, and adjacent waters through the weekend. Winds and seas will increase east of the Windward Islands and in the E Caribbean on Sat through Mon as a tropical wave, currently near 44W, moves across the area. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... Hurricane Epsilon near 32.6N 61.6W 968 mb at 11 PM EDT moving NNW at 8 kt. Maximum sustained winds 75 kt gusts 90 kt. Epsilon will move to 33.8N 61.6W Fri morning and continuing moving northward away from the area and Bermuda this weekend. Epsilon is expected to become extratropical near 48.4N 41.0W Sun evening, then dissipate late Mon well east of Atlantic Canada. The gradient between high pressure over the western Atlantic and Hurricane Epsilon will maintain strong winds and large seas over the western waters through Fri night. Long-period northeast swell will continue to impact the waters north and northeast of the Bahamas through Sat.
