Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

High pressure over the northeastern Gulf will dissipate through
Fri ahead of a weak front moving into the northern Gulf Sat. The
front will stall over the northern Gulf through Mon, then slowly
dissipate through early next week.  

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

Tropical Depression Nana near 16.0N 91.1W 1006 mb at 5 PM EDT
moving WSW at 12 kt. Maximum sustained winds 30 kt gusts 40 kt.
Nana will become a remnant low and dissipate Sat afternoon.
Moderate to fresh trades will persist over the central Caribbean
in the wake of Nana through Sun with gentle to moderate breezes
elsewhere through early next week. 

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

A ridge extends east to west along 29N. This is supporting
moderate to fresh E winds south of 22N, with pulses of fresh to
strong winds possible north of Hispaniola and near the Windward
Passage tonight. The pattern will support gentle to moderate
winds north of 22N. Little change is expected for several days.
