Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

Hurricane Isaias is centered in the Central Bahamas near 23.9N 
77.1W 988 mb at 0900 UTC, moving NW at 10 kt. Maximum sustained 
winds 75 kt gusts 90 kt. Isaias will move through the NW Bahamas
tday, then track northward near the east coast of the Florida 
peninsula tonight through Sun night. Mainly gentle winds will 
prevail across the Gulf waters through early next week as weak 
high pressure persists over the northern Gulf. 

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

Hurricane Isaias is moving through the Central Bahamas this
morning, centered near 23.9N 77.1W 988 mb at 0900 UTC moving NW 
at 10 kt. Maximum sustained winds 75 kt gusts 90 kt. Isaias will
continue through the NW Bahamas today, just offshore of Florida 
tonight through Sun night, and move away from the region. Fresh 
to strong flow will diminish south of Hispaniola today. A low 
pressure trough will bring increased winds and seas to the waters
N of 15N and E of 60W late tonight and Sun. 

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

Hurricane Isaias near 23.9N 77.1W 988 mb at 5 AM EDT moving NW
at 10 kt. Maximum sustained winds 75 kt gusts 90 kt. Isaias will
move to 25.0N 78.2W this afternoon, 26.3N 79.2W Sun morning,
27.6N 79.9W Sun afternoon, 29.1N 80.3W Mon morning, weaken to a
tropical storm near 31.2N 79.8W Mon afternoon, and 34.0N 77.8W
Tue morning. Very large seas in SE swell are expected over a 
large portion of the SW North Atlantic waters near and offshore 
of the Bahamas today. Swell associated with Isaias will spread 
northward across the waters W of 75W tonight through Sun night, 
then move N of the region early next week.
