Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

Hurricane Isaias is centered near 20.9N 73.3W 990 mb moving NW
at 14 kt. Maximum sustained winds 70 kt gusts 85 kt. Weak high
pressure over the NE Gulf will drift W through the weekend as
Isaias moves NW to the Central Bahamas this afternoon and
evening then veers more NNW over the NW Bahamas and near SE
Florida late tonight through Sat. Isaias is the expected to move
N then NE across the W Atlantic and remain east of the Gulf of
Mexico through the weekend.  

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

Hurricane Isaias near 20.9N 73.3W 990 mb at 0900 UTC moving NW
at 15 kt. Maximum sustained winds 70 kt gusts 85 kt. Isaias will
continue NW and reach the central Bahamas near 22.3N 75.0W this
afternoon, then continue NNW through the NW Bahamas and near SE
Florida tonight through Sat before moving N and away from the
region Sun through Mon. Strong winds and high seas will prevail
this morning through the Mona Passage, Windward Passage. Fresh
to strong flow will persist south of Hispaniola into Fri and in
the lee of eastern Cuba.  

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

Hurricane Isaias near 20.9N 73.3W 990 mb at 0900 UTC  moving NW
at 15 kt. Maximum sustained winds 70 kt gusts 85 kt.  Isaias
will continue NW and reach the central Bahamas near 22.3N  75.0W
this afternoon, then continue NNW through the NW Bahamas  and
near SE Florida tonight and Sat, reaching 25.7N 78.5W Sat 
afternoon, then turn more N and reach 28.8N 79.6W Sun afternoon
before exiting to the NNE Mon and Tue. Very large seas in SE
swell are  expected over a large portion of the SW North
Atlantic waters west of 70W and through the Bahamas waters today
and tonight.
