Marine Weather Discussion for the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea,
and Tropical North Atlantic from 07N to 19N between 55W and 64W
and the Southwest North Atlantic including the Bahamas

...GULF OF MEXICO...

High pressure will persist along 24N-25N through the middle of
next week. Moderate to fresh SE flow will develop over the
waters W of 90W tonight and persist through the middle of next
week as high pressure shifts eastward.  

...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN
55W AND 64W...

A high pressure ridge across the western Atlantic along 25N will
maintain fresh to strong trade winds in the south-central
Caribbean through the middle of next week. Locally strong winds
are expected tonight and Mon night across the Gulf of Honduras,
followed by pulses of fresh winds through Wed night. Winds and
seas will increase slightly over the Tropical N Atlantic waters
Mon through Tue with the passage of a pair of tropical waves. 

...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS...

Tropical Depression Five is near 33.3N 64.9W at 0900 UTC moving
NE or 55 deg at 17 kt. Maximum sustained winds 30 kt gusts to
40 kt. T.D. Five will continue moving NE and away from the area
waters as it strengthens to a minimal tropical  storm N of the
area near 35.4N 61.6W this afternoon. Elsewhere,  a high
pressure ridge will persist along 25N today, then  gradually
lift northward through the week. A weak low pressure  trough
will linger off the northern Florida coast today, then  lift N
and weaken through Mon.
