A weakening stationary front that extends from the Florida Big Bend to the SW Gulf will dissipate early this evening as moderate to fresh winds diminish behind the front over the NW Gulf. Fresh to strong northwest winds over the SW Gulf near the coast of Veracruz, Mexico will diminish to fresh speeds by late tonight. Weak high pressure will build over the northern Gulf Mon through Thu night. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... The northern portion of a western Caribbean tropical wave is along 86W. This wave will move well inland and well west of the basin on Sun. Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are east of this wave from 11N to 20N and west of 77W to 84W. This activity, with the aid of a mid to upper-level trough that is over the far western Caribbean, is expected to be active through at least Sun night. Another tropical wave over the eastern part of the central Caribbean will move across the rest of the central Caribbean through late Sun night and across the western Caribbean early next week. A third tropical wave near 55W will move across the Tropical N Atlantic waters through late Sun, across the eastern Caribbean early next week and over the central Caribbean Wed night through Thu night. Yet another tropical wave will enter the eastern part of the Tropical N Atlantic waters on Thu. Otherwise, moderate to fresh trade winds will remain over the central Caribbean through early next week, with locally strong winds pulsing in the Gulf of Venezuela and near the coast of Colombia. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A weak high pressure ridge over the northern waters will lift northward tonight. A low pressure trough that extends from the central Atlantic westward towards Hispaniola will weaken while drifting northwestward through Sun. A weak cold front is expected to move off the southeastern U.S. coast early next week, then stall over the northern Florida offshore waters through Wed. The front will weaken into a trough from Wed into Thu. While this takes place, a trough will linger between South Florida and the NW Bahamas.
