A stalling front that extends from Apalachicola, Florida across the central Gulf to the eastern coast of Mexico near 23N98W will weaken overnight into Fri, then dissipate on Sat. Moderate to fresh NE winds behind the front will diminish this weekend. Fresh to strong NW winds will prevail over the SW Gulf near the coast of Veracruz, Mexico Fri night and Sat. A weak cold front may cross the NE Gulf early next week, followed by high pressure building over the northern Gulf Tue and Tue night. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... A western Caribbean tropical wave along 79W will move across Central America this weekend. Another tropical wave nearing the Windward Islands will pass over the eastern Caribbean and south of Puerto Rico Fri through Sat, then move across the central Caribbean later this weekend. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms, some with gusty winds, will spread across the Windward Islands overnight into Fri. Moderate trades over the eastern Caribbean will increase to fresh speeds by Sat night and persist through early next week. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A high pressure ridge over the northern waters will weaken and lift northward through Fri.
