A stalling front that extends from the Florida Big Bend region to near 25N90W to offshore of Brownsville, Texas will lift northward as a warm front tonight into early Sat. Strong thunderstorms ahead of the front may produce gusty winds and locally higher seas over the NE Gulf tonight. A reinforcing cold front will move into the NW Gulf late tonight, cross the northern Gulf Sat and Sat night, then extend from near Tampa, Florida into the SW Gulf on Sun. This front will exit the basin by Mon as a high pressure ridge passes eastward across the Gulf early next week. Another cold front may move into the northern Gulf late Wed or Wed night. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... A high pressure ridge across the western Atlantic will maintain fresh to strong trade winds over the south-central Caribbean through the middle of next week. Strong E to SE winds will pulse at night over the Gulf of Honduras this weekend. Northerly swell will propagate through the Tropical N Atlantic waters this weekend. Smoke from agricultural fires in Central America could reduce visibility over the Gulf of Honduras for the next several days. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A cold front will move off the SE U.S. coast tonight, then stall near 31N and lift northward as a warm front on Sat. Fresh to strong S to SW winds over the far northern waters will diminish tonight.
