A cold front extending from Fort Myers, Florida to near 24N90W will pass to the SE of the area this afternoon. The next cold front is forecast to approach the NW Gulf late Wed night into Thu morning. Fresh to strong SE to S winds are forecast to develop ahead of the front over the western half of the Gulf tonight and Wed. The front will reach from near Pensacola Florida to near 26N92W by Thu night, then from Apalachee Bay to the central Gulf and continue as a stationary front to the Bay of Campeche early Fri. This front is expected to pass E of the area Fri night. Scattered showers and thunderstorms may precede this front. Yet another cold front is expected to emerge off the Texas coast and to over NW Gulf late Fri night and early Sat. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Fresh trade winds over the south-central Caribbean and the Gulf of Honduras will increase to strong speeds at night through Sat night as strong high pressure builds N of the area. Otherwise, gentle to moderate trade winds will increase to moderate to fresh speeds beginning Thu and continue through Sat. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A cold front extending from near 31N66W to near West Palm Beach, Florida will push SE to the SE Bahamas and eastern Cuba early Wed, then weaken as it moves E of the forecast waters Wed night. Fresh to strong SW winds will precede the front mainly north of 27N. Another cold front is forecast to move over the NW part of the offshore waters Thu night. Strong to near gale force S to SW winds will precede the front and are expected over the waters north of the Bahamas from Thu morning through Fri morning.
