A warm front has moved inland the coast along a position from southwestern Georgia to southern Louisiana, to eastern and central Texas. A cold front is expected to reach the NW Gulf Sun evening, and extend from the Florida Big Bend to near 25N90W by Mon afternoon. Fresh to strong southerly winds are expected ahead of the front beginning tonight and continuing through Mon evening as the front moves across the area. Scattered strong thunderstorms, some could reach the strong to severe limits, are possible ahead of this front. Otherwise, smoke from agricultural fires in southern Mexico and Honduras could reduce visibility, mainly in the SW Gulf. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... High pressure north of the area will maintain fresh to strong winds in the south-central Caribbean and the Gulf of Honduras through Thu. Mainly moderate to fresh winds are expected elsewhere during the entire period. Otherwise, smoke from agricultural fires in Central America could reduce visibility near the Yucatan Peninsula and offshore of Belize and Honduras. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... A cold front along 30N will sweep southeastward to east of the area by early Sun evening. Fresh to strong winds ahead will shift east of the area Sun. Another cold front will move across the northwest waters late Sun night and early Mon and across the waters northeast of the Bahamas through Tue. Fresh to strong southwest winds will precede this front, increasing to near gale early on Mon and through Mon afternoon. These winds will diminish back to fresh to strong speeds as they shift eastward across the northeast forecast waters Tue, and to east of the area Wed. A weaker cold front will move across the northern waters Tue through Wed.
