High pressure over the far NE Gulf will weaken and slide E through tonight. A stationary front from near Mobile, Alabama to near Corpus Christi, Texas is beginning to transition into a warm front, and will lift north out of the Gulf by tonight. A cold front will move off the Texas coast Tue and cross the basin by Thu morning. Ahead of this front, fresh to strong SW winds are possible in the NE Gulf Tue afternoon and Tue night. Then, behind the front, strong NW winds are likely over the far N Gulf Wed. ...CARIBBEAN SEA AND TROPICAL N ATLANTIC FROM 07N TO 19N BETWEEN 55W AND 64W... Gale force winds will pulse near the coast of Colombia tonight. High pressure centered over the SW N Atlantic will maintain fresh to strong trades elsewhere over the central Caribbean into Tue. Fresh to strong winds will pulse each evening through Tue over the Gulf of Honduras. Thereafter, winds and seas will diminish across the region for the middle and latter parts of the week as high pressure builds over the Caribbean. ...SW N ATLANTIC INCLUDING THE BAHAMAS... High pressure centered midway between Bermuda and the Turks and Caicos Islands will drift S and weaken through Tue night. A weak cold front will remain mainly just N of the area until Tue night, when low pressure and a secondary stronger cold front moves off the SE U.S. coast. This cold front will pass through the Bahamas and Bermuda on Wed and Wed night, then gradually stall just N of the Leeward Island into the end of the week.
